I have a desire for a child and I am a single woman

At Ceres Fertility Center, we believe that children are simply wonderful and enrich everyone's lives.

That’s why we are happy to advise you on how to fulfill your desire for a child through sperm donation and artificial insemination.

In the past, single women often had to take the uncertain path of going abroad, but now the legislature has created the legal framework for the use of donor sperm for both single women and same-sex couples.

Despite this legal clarification, the use of donor sperm is only permitted under professional regulations in very few German states, such as Berlin.

We believe that every woman,
whether single or in a relationship,
has the right to have her own child.

Donor sperm, purchased from a certified and licensed sperm bank in Germany, can help you achieve pregnancy through artificial insemination.

Artificial insemination refers to both insemination (IUI) and the retrieval of eggs for fertilization outside the body (IVF or ICSI).

Which method is appropriate depends on personal preferences (insemination is the preferred method), as well as factors such as the biological age of the eggs, egg reserve, and fallopian tube patency.

We would be happy to provide you with a non-binding, personal, and individualized consultation. At our fertility center, we also offer the option of checking fallopian tube patency through ultrasound and contrast agents.

The German legislature has not only clarified all organizational and legal steps but also made the costs of treatment with donor sperm completely transparent.

The costs are regulated by the German Medical Fee Schedule (GOÄ) and do not differ based on whether a woman comes alone, with a male partner, or with a female partner.

The Ceres Fertility Center collaborates with sperm banks in Germany as well as the European Sperm Bank.

Since it is usually not clear which type of fertility treatment is right for you, we recommend that you refrain from purchasing sperm cells before your consultation at Ceres Fertility Center.
